Voters can take them to the early voting drop box
Coral Gables voters will start getting vote-by-mail or absentee ballots for the runoff election beginning on Tuesday, one week before Election Day.
Miami-Dade Elections Deputy Supervisor Suzy Trutie said that 13,082 ballots were mailed to voters on Monday.
That provides very little turn around time if someone wants to return it that way. And anybody who waits until after the debate Wednesday could really be taking a chance their ballot doesn’t arrive in time.
Trutie said that municipalities are the ones that set the runoff timetable and that the county started working on printing the ballots immediately after the April 13 results.
“That Tuesday night we started preparing the ballot,” she said.
Ladra suggests that anyone who isn’t ready to vote immediately and put their ballots right back in the mailbox wait until the weekend’s early voting when there will be a drop box at the library.

Wow I would have never thought that was the case in Coral Gables , I would have thought 70 percent at minimum would have voted in every election local or not .
I’m in Doral where I think it’s like 15 percent who can vote actually do and city next door Sweet Water I heard even less .

I’m in Doral and last election a water type park was put up for a vote . At the back of the ads that were sent out it said that property tax would go up , granted this was written the size of an ants eye , lol.
The way it was written in the front of the ad showing a future water park that looked like something from Disney it stated the city would use bonds but it was worded so those who didn’t bother looking into it thought bonds were free .
I told plenty in the community I’m in that bonds are not free and read the fine print on back of the city ads and after the park was approved by the voters and it came out in the news that property taxes will now go up due to these bonds , pretty much everyone I know who voted for it regretted it.
In other words countless who are never going to use this park simply voted to raise their own property tax .
I would have used it when completed but will not be in Miami , though voted against it .
I’m good with stand alone elections, it’s only self imposed voter suppression of the apathetic vote. The same ones that show up for the headliner race in the November elections and then screw up all the down ballot initiatives that they haven’t studied but still vote based only on name recognition or deceptive ballot language.
Why can’t Coral Gables go to district representation so the underserved in the Gables Grove area can have a voice on the commission. The Gables commissioners all look and act the same. That’s why you end with a WAWA across from an elementary school.

This is voter suppression until we move the election to November regular voting dates, when more than 50% of voters will surely participate. The voters of South Miami smarty recently moved the election date to November.
Who is afraid of voters in Coral Gables? Recent Charter review committees have refused to change the election date.
