After 21 years, the advocate at the Miami-Dade Commission on Ethics and Public Trust — the man who basically serves as the prosecutor — is leaving us. Michael Murawski has a new job: He will keep politicians and government folks in line at the new Naples Ethics Commission.
Murawski will be their first executive director starting June. 1. Congratulations, but Ladra gives him six months before he’s begging to come back just because of the sheer boredom.
In the meantime, the Miami-Dade commission on Friday selected six finalists to be interviewed for the position next month. They are Maribel Diaz, Averill Dorsett, Loressa Felix, Radia Turay, Tim VanderGiesen and George Wysong.
Wait a minute. Did you hear that record stopping abruptly? The squeak of someone hitting the brakes?
That was Ladra. Because Wysong is the deputy city attorney at the city of Miami, where a host of ethical lapses and outright violations have not just been tolerated by the attorney’s office but enthusiastically encouraged.

This is the same assistant city attorney who conveniently provided a different interpretation of the state laws when his boss asked him to help create a “cheat sheet” to protect Commissioner Joe Carollo from a recall attempt. He was part of the conspiracy to try to deny citizens their due process. Doesn’t this disqualify him from judging others on their ethics?
He has sat by and allowed — no, enabled — the unethical behavior of Miami commissioners and administrators.
And now he wants to be our public watchdog? ¿No me digas?
What? Didn’t his boss, City Attorney Tricky Vicky Mendez make the cut? Las malas lenguas say she’s leaving the city toward the end of the year, so why doesn’t Wysong stick around to go for the top dog job?
Or does this show how much nobody is going to want that job?
Ethics Commission Director and chief apologist Jose Arrojo told Ladra in an email that about 20 people applied for the position, and that was whittled down to about a dozen by staff. The commission picked the six finalists, including Wysong, who will be interviewed on June 11.
The meeting is open to the public. Ladra will bet you booing is not allowed.

Also in the running is Tim VanderGiesen, who is the lead public corruption prosecutor at the State Attorney’s Office, replacing Arrojo when he took the job, who replaced Joe Centorino who was also head of corruption at the SAO. See the pattern?
It’s like a breeding ground.
Ladra likes VanderGiesen — even though he’s an underachiever — but maybe the poison is at the source. Some would say he is as much of a failure as la jefa. Shouldn’t we try somewhere else? A quick google search of the candidates should tell us all we need to know.
Averill Dorsett has municipal baggage. She was the Human Resources director for the city of Fort Lauderdale, replacing a 23-year city employee whose position was eliminated and later sued for racial bias.
Oh, wait, here it is. She worked as an assistant city attorney in Miami and in Sunrise and at the SAO office, not just under Kathy Fernandez-Rundle but under Janet Reno. She’s from the breeding ground.
Loressa Felix and Radia Turay are already staff attorneys at the ethics commission making $102,950 and $122,350 a year, respectively. So, meh.
If the candidate Maribel Diaz is the same Maribel Diaz who is the manager of collections for Behar, Gutt & Glazer, she’s perfect.
There are a lot of debts to collect.

Glad Michael Murowski is leaving the office. He is a Katherine Fernández’s political puppet. Talk about an Ethics oversight, a couple of years ago Murowsky openly politicked for a North Bay Village mayoral candidate at a poll site! When I questioned Joseph Centorino about the matter he did not see any problem with it and had no objections. Just another simple cover up be the two.
As far as his replacement at Ethics, my money is on Tim Van see Giesen. Why you ask? Van der Giesen is Katherine Rundle’s current political hack. He is the same individual who helped saved Katherine Rundle from the Hialeah boletera and Al Lorenzo scandal by giving Esteban Bovo a pass and pushing to eliminate Miami Dade Police Department’s Public Corruption Bureau.
The task force Van derGiesen heads is nothing but a sham intended to obstruct any real Investigations and going on fishing expeditions against Rundle’s enemies.
Rundle, Murawski, Centorino, Arrojó, Félix Jiménez and Van der Giesen are not corruption fighters, they are bags of manure being paid high salaries to continue the corruption dance.
Don’t bother calling FDLE or the FBI to stop these hoodlums, they are not interested in conducting investigations. They are part of the “make no waves” and “do not rock the boat” generation. Shame on all of them.

Let’s add a little more in relation to Miami Dade County Ethics and Public trust Agency Advocate Michael Murawski and General Counsel Martha Perez .It sounds to me that if Michael Murawski is making over $165,000 dollars a year he would be doing something worth while instead of advocating for people who someone like myself had filed a formal complaint on. You would think that Michael Murawski would advocate for someone like myself who filed the complaint instead of the one who was breaking the Laws in Miami Dade County.I had General Counsel Martha Perez as well as an investigator who was a rookie try and lie about things or miss represent what myself and my witness Gustavo Chacon were presenting in my case .The Miami Dade County Mayor and the Commissioner’s need to look at why people in Miami Dade County are paying these huge salaries to these no nothing do nothing Corrupt people in Government. What a Sham and I guarantee when people voted for the ethics commission they never anticipated what would the Miami Dade County Ethics Board would become : A bunch of connected Flunkies who all have to answer to someone like Miami Dade County Attorney Gerald K. Sanchez.

Gustavo Chacon was a witness to my complaint on an individual who met with Former “I can’t Remember “Miami Dade County Commissioner Audrey Edmonson .My Complaint was filed with the Miami Dade County Ethics and Public no trust Agency. The Advocate Michael Murawski who handled my case covered up many facts that we’re presented in my complaint along with Miami Dade County Ethics General Counsel Martha Perez. They determined that the individual that met with Commissioner Edmonson was a brief meet and greet .They have met on more than 1 occasion.First off : They’re a bunch of deceitful liars who are stealing our Tax dollars along with Miami Dade County Attorney Gerald Sanchez. My Complaint was based on an individual who never registered as a lobbyists. Flat out corruption and we had the person dead to right .Miami Dade County Ethics Advocate Michael Murawski and General Counsel reached out and had a conversation with the individual and his Attorney’s and they decided to let my complaint slide .Bunch of dirty people all over the place in Government and connected to Government. George Wysong is the same attorney who spent years defending police officers who shot and killed Miami residents. This Wysong is the same dude who would refuse to turn over information to the Civilian Investigative Panel. He was a stone wall blocking transparency. And yes, the entire City of Miami Attorney’s Office has been full of unethical attorneys for years… Look at its leader, Vicky Mendez… She should have been indicted multiple times.
