Today is the last day for Miami-Dade residents to register to vote if they want to cast a ballot in the Nov. 3 election.
It’s not only the most important presidential election of our lives between the devil and former Vice President Joe Biden, it’s also arguably the most important race for Miami-Dade mayor, which is the second most powerful political position in the state of Florida, in decades.
There are state and congressional elections and some cities — Doral, for example — also have elections. Plus there are a few county charter and state amendments that could impact us for decades (more on that later).
Any U.S. citizen 18 and over who has lived in the county for as little as a day can register to vote — as long as it’s by the 29th day before the election.
That’s today. Register online here.
