5 things we learned from the CNN GOP debate

That was actually fun!

Ladra loved the interaction at the GOP’s debate Wednesday night gopdebatesceneon CNN, but it’s too late to give a full analysis. We can get to that in the morning.  Right now, it’s time for the instant, knee-jerk observations, relevant or not.

It felt like they talked about immigration for far too long. Although the other staple issues made appearances: jobs, the economy, religious freedom and Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis, Planned Parenthood and the four Is: Iraq, Iran, Israel and ISIS.

They all agreed that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are bad people.

And Carly Fiorina could have gone home half way and still won.

But here are Ladra’s five quick takeaways from the debate. If you learned nothing else, know these five tidbits because they will be talked about tomorrow at the water cooler

5. If all else fails, Republicans can bring up the names George Bush and/or Ronald Reagan. This will get the audience on your side again lickety split.

4. Donald Trump has a crush on Fiorina. I remember from second grade —trump2 the boys who pulled your pigtails and called you names were the ones who liked you. Trump has the maturity of a schoolboy.  That’s why he was making so many faces. Awkward.

3. Donald Trump can be Vladimir Putin‘s pal. “I can work with Putin,” he said, yes, in a Republican primary. Well, it figures. Both are misogynistic tyrants. Fiorina and Marco Rubio, who Ladra rates winner and runner up, have a much better idea of the kind of opportunistic and repressive guy Putin can be.

2. Jeb Bush smoked pot 40 years ago. “Sorry, mom,” he said, after admitting it on the live TV broadcast. Maybe he still does and that’s why he can’t tell the difference between Eveready and Energizer, two different battery companies.

And the number one thing that we learned in the debate is…

1. Hillary Clinton will sleep easy tonight.

  1. 1. Has got to be a joke Ladra.

And if Reagan is turning in his grave John F. Kennedy is talking to God directly to smit the “radicalness” out of the Democrats and to plead for God to enter back into their lives and help them return to normalcy. And Martin Luther King would be screaming to the Democrats “you black genocide and enslaving hypocritical liars”. Both of these men had courage, conviction, and principle. The likes of their character are sorely lacking in the Democratic Party (understanding MLK was a Republican).

But why let the truth get in the way of faulty nonsensical narrative messaging.

  2. Funny how the debate was held at the Reagan Library, with the corpse buried nearby. Reagan would be too moderate for today’s GOP. He wouldn’t be nominatable in today’s GOP.

A dead Reagan would still make a better president than any of these clown pretenders to 40’s legacy.

  3. Does anyone remember the Jeb’s brother looked into Putin’s eyes and could see his soul? Maybe Jebbie will want to do that too!

  4. IMO best quotes last night..One was clearly tested first, the other I’m not so sure about..

“Flying is Not An Accomplishment; It is An Activity!” Fiorina

    and

“We’re going to drink more” Graham

Ok so maybe not so LOL on their own, I guess you had to hear them in context.

  5. 6. Jeb says Margaret Thatcher should be on the $10 bill, uh…not an American woman?! Yep, Carly killed it with her answer on that.
